'Market Drayton Supreme Champion Beast'


Sarah Holt donated half the value of her British Blue show heifer which, at 636 kilograms, sold to 420p to gross £2,671.20  It was bought by brothers Mark and Frank Webster of R.G.B. Webster and Sons Ltd, Rhyl.

Farmers and buyers have been recognised for their support and generosity after a Christmas sale at Market Drayton Market raised more than £7,000 for three charities which have helped a young boy in his fight against Leukaemia. Director and sheep auctioneer Mark Jones said he was ‘overwhelmed’ by the sale on December 6 which helped raise money for The Harry Johnson Trust, Molly Olly’s Wishes and the oncology team at The Princess Royal Hospital in Shropshire, each who helped his son Tommy, 4, through chemotherapy treatment.
