Barbers Auctions who operate Market Drayton Market, Market Drayton, Shropshire are pleased to announce a new face in Jonty Cliffe who has joined the livestock team situated at the market.  Jonty’s focus will be to secure and procure livestock for all sections of the market with specific focus on store, weanlings and calves.  He will assist Ben Baggott with calf sale rostrum duties on a Wednesday and he is keen to establish a bi-monthly machinery sale with the first date being Friday 27 September 2019.

Jonty draws from his wealth of livestock knowledge originating from a dairy farm in Cheshire.  He then graduated from Harper Adams University with a degree in Rural Estate and Land Management.  On graduating he joined Wright Marshall where he became head calf auctioneer at Beeston Castle.  His popularity and enthusiasm within the livestock community was acknowledged in 2018 when he was awarded the ‘Young Auctioneer of the Year’ which was co-ordinated between the Livestock Auctioneers Association and Farmers Guardian.
